The Alexander Funeral Home has long been a landmark in Gallatin, and the Alexander family name is well-known, having been a presence in the local funeral home industry since 1907. Generations of Alexanders lovingly tended the business, and when it came time for changes to be made, the Troutt family, long-time friends and relatives by marriage of the Alexander family, stepped up to maintain the legacy. In 2017, committed to preserving the legacy of the Alexander family name and the heritage of the oldest continually operated funeral business in the area, the Troutt family joined forces with Bill Gregory and Family Legacy.
This exciting partnership blends the old with the new, integrating the Alexander family’s tradition of excellence with the progressive culture of the Family Legacy business model, focusing on celebrating life. The property houses reception facilities with catering services available. As part of the Family Legacy family, the Alexander Funeral Home and Cremation Center is able to preserve their family legacy, and at the same time maintain a focus on serving the community.
Family Legacy has been serving the middle Tennessee area since the 1970’s, and maintains locations across the area, in Gallatin, Hendersonville, Nashville, Joelton, and Springfield. These properties include six cemeteries, nine funeral homes, and a crematory. At Family Legacy, we care about families, because we are a family business. Our priority is caring for your loved one, and we strive to continually improve, providing the very best service, with the personal care, attention, and dedication that can only come from a local, family-owned company.
