Wayne Thomas Tuttle, age 91, of Gallatin, passed away April 7, 2018. Mr. Tuttle was born February 27, 1927, in Bethpage, TN, to the late Marvin Tuttle and Chloe Meadors Tuttle.

Mr. Tuttle is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Hackett Shaw Tuttle and her daughter, Connie Shaw Barker (Bob); one son, Gary Dewayne Tuttle; a brother, Richard (Dickie) Tuttle.

Mr. Tuttle is survived by daughters, Joyce Tuttle Mathews (Larry), Alice Ann Tuttle Ferguson and step-daughter, Holly Shaw McClarnon (Marshall); brother, Charles Ray Tuttle (Thelma); sisters, Beatrice Grizzle, Virginia Parkey, Frances Ramsey, Wilma Price (Wilton), and Patty Hall (Ron); Charlene Leath Tuttle Crowder, mother of his three children, Gary, Joyce and Alice Ann, along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family members.

Mr. Tuttle is a veteran of World War II having served on the USS Comfort; worked in

upholstery and helped manage the Gallatin Bowling Center. He later developed a love and knowledge for antiques and he and brother, Charles Ray, opened Tuttle Brothers Antiques in Hendersonville and enjoyed the antique business until he retired.

Visitation for Mr. Tuttle will be 12pm-1:45pm on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Alexander Funeral Home and Cremation Center. There will be a graveside service following at Gallatin Cemetery at 2:00pm.

Family so sorry to hear about the passing of your dad,I worked with your mom at the shirt factory back in the 70’s also Gary too. Knew your grandparents on both sides of your family.My aunt on my daddy side of the family was Jean Tuttle Spears ,her parents were Razzie and Vallie Tuttle.Just wanted to let you know we will be praying for you.
