Wayne Cardwell

Mr. Wayne Cardwell, age 78, of Gallatin, TN, passed away January 14, 2022. He was born June 27, 1943, in Nashville, TN.  Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Homer Cardwell and Frances Cardwell Smith and sister, Sarah Palmer.  He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Donna Cardwell of Gallatin, TN; son, Eric (Tara) Cardwell of Edwardsville, IL; grandsons, Hayden and Alden Cardwell of Knoxville, TN; brother, Ron Cardwell; sisters, Judy White and Shelia (Ronnie) Smith all of Gallatin, TN.

Wayne retired from Dupont after 37 years.  Wayne was a hunter in his earlier days, and he loved to tell funny stories. Most of all, he loved his son and being “Daddo” to his grandsons.

Cryptside Service will be held 12:00 noon Friday, January 21st at Sumner Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Brother James Parker officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 20th from 4:00-8:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
