Velma Cathcart

Mrs. Velma J Cathcart, age 83 of Gallatin, TN passed away April 21, 2021. She was born September 23, 1937 in Nettleton, MS to the late John and Gillie (Mayfield) Whitlock.

Along with Velma's parents, she is preceded in death by loving husband, Glen Cathcart; sister, Frankie; brothers, Otis and John Travis.

Velma is survived by daughters, Patricia (Donald) Cathcart-Lyles, Jennifer (William) Tardell; grandchildren, Dominic (Sherrie) Cathcart, Derek (Margot) Lyles, Emily Tardell and Mary Tardell; great-grandchildren, Courtney and Chloe Cathcart, Charlotte and Anson Lyles.

Velma enjoyed bible study, cooking, cross stitching, and watching television shows about wildlife.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday June 19, 2021, at 11 am from the Chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
