Celebration of Life Service: New Vision Baptist Church Saturday October 19, 2019 2:00pmThomas Tinsley Lawson II, age 67 of Murfreesboro, TN, went to be with the Lord on August 25, 2019. Tommy was born January 23, 1952 in Kingman, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Tinsley Lawson and Winifred Black Lawson; brother, John David "Pete" Lawson, brother-in-law, Ron Caffrey and niece, Olivia Michele Bondurant. He is survived by sisters, Winikay Caffrey of Weaverville, NC, Becky Bondurant (Bryan) of Gallatin, TN and Susie Willis (Robert) of Hendersonville, TN; sister-in-law, Cindy Lawson of Spruce Pine, NC; nephews, Ryan Pendley (Jennifer) and children, Brenden and Carsyn, John Lawson (Jessie) and children, Zoe and John David, Drew Caffrey (Jessica) and children, Anna & Grace, Jeremy Willis (Erin Kyle) and children, Lawson and Cooper, Thomas Lawson (Jodie) and children, Tinsley and Dell, Ben Willis (Meghan) and children, Brady, Tessa and Annie, and Will Bondurant; nieces, Heather Dameron (Dale) and son, Daniel, and Natalie Bondurant; uncle, Jon David Black (Carol) and numerous cousins.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, October 19th at New Vision Baptist Church, 1750 N. Thompson Lane, Murfreesboro, TN with Brady Cooper officiating.
Private interment will be in Crestview Memory Gardens.
Tommy lived at Stones River Center in Murfreesboro, TN. The family would like to express their special appreciation to Tommy's caregivers: Jenne Kanyangira, Rachel Gregory, Arnita Sneed, Christine Valentine, Tobey Boyer, Fifi Dodson, Joyce Waggoner, Cheryl Wolf, Richard Armento, Caroline B. Martin, Cheah Hibdon, Shelby Tanner, Lena Jackson, Christine Miller, Candace Carney, Kristie Schutes, Robby Nellums, Tammy Paulin and Lisa Izzi. They would also like to express their gratitude to Alive Hospice in Nashville for their love and care in Tommy's last days. Many caregivers have come and gone over the years with special mention of Frank and Nancy McElroy, founders of the Louisa School and Willie Mae Patterson who preceded Tommy in death.
