Susan Lynn Osmanski, age 68, of Gallatin, TN, formerly of Plains Twp, Pennsylvania, passed away May 26, 2022. She has been a resident of Gallatin for the past 5 years. Sue was born on May 12, 1954 in Wilkes Barre, PA.
Sue was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Gallatin, TN.
Sue is a graduate of Bishop Hoban High School (1972). She received her BS in Business Administration in 1976 from King’s College in Wilkes Barre, PA, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She received the Wall Street Journal Achievement Award, was on the Dean’s List all semesters, and was a recipient of a partial honor scholarship to King’s Aquinas Society (King’s Honor Society).
Sue spent most of her professional career as a COBOL programmer and worked in a variety of industries, including insurance, government, telecommunications, education, and other industries. She was the recipient of a number of professional awards from past employers.
She retired in 2017 from the information technology field as a Senior Business Systems Analyst-Testing for National General Insurance.
Sue loved to read and take care of her plants. She enjoyed the family pets, which were three rescue cats: Lucky, Roxie, and her favorite, Squeaky, who considered her his mother. Sue loved watching old classic movies. Jean Arthur was her favorite actress. She had various bird feeders throughout her home and enjoyed seeing the birds that would come to visit.
She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Ron Osmanski of Gallatin, TN; aunt, Cazmira Baran; cousins, Sandy Toloczko, Monica (Steve) Thaler of Pennsylvania; many other cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Stella (Toloczko) Baran, and her godmother, Helen Baran.
