Steven Tyler Slaten

Tyler Slaten, age 30, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away at home on Thursday, August 10, 2023.

Tyler was born on October 10, 1992, in Florence, Alabama, to his parents Scott and Becky Slaten. Tyler was in the graduating Class of 2011, from Centennial Highschool, in Franklin, Tennessee. After he graduated high school, Tyler attended Nashville Auto Diesel College, which he completed in 2013.  Tyler was a master mechanic who worked on cars and factory equipment. He also served the Navy in the United States Military. Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing and pulling jokes or pranks. Tyler also loved his nieces and nephew dearly.

Steven Tyler Slaten is survived by his father, Richard Scott Slaten (Kim Goodall); mother, Rebecca Joy (Stoll) Slaten; sisters, Megan Slaten, and Andrea Tansil (Tommy Tansil); nieces, Auburne Tansil, Summer Tansil, Aaliyah Tansil; nephew, Colton Tansil; paternal aunts, Michelle Robinson (Tim Robinson), and Janet Williamson (Scott Williamson); paternal uncle, Scott Graham (Paula Graham); maternal uncle, Randall Stoll (Rebecca Stoll); and eleven cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James Robert and Shirley Jo Slaten; and maternal grandparents, Frank and Nita Stoll.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
