Robert "Bob" Kesterson

November 7, 1954 — March 4, 2022

Five Points, TN

Robert Lee Kesterson, known to all who knew him as “Bob”, passed away in Tennessee, on March 4, 2022.

Bob was born on November 7th, 1954, to Margie & Kenneth Kesterson. He was the 2nd of 9 children.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne; children, Brandon, Sara and Robert; grandchildren, Brandon, Ava, Chloe, Wesley, Jett, Gracie, Trigg and Rowdy; as well as his father Kenneth and siblings, Steven, Mark, James, Bruce, Donna, Paula and William. He is now reunited with his mother Margie Louise, and brother Daniel in Heaven.

Born into a military family, they lived all over until landing in Northern California where his father retired, and they called home for the next 57 years. Bob graduated WHS in 1972 and immediately enlisted in the Army where he served almost 4 years as an electronics technician. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Northern California and 5 years later started a family. Bob and Dianne married in Dec of 1983 and raised their family in Wheatland where they resided for 38 years. He served Wheatland Union High School proudly for 36 years and retired in 2016.

Bob loved being outdoors: fishing, gardening, camping and exploring. He loved to cook and grill for anyone who looked hungry- we are all certain food was his love language, especially sweets. And when it came to his grandchildren, he’d move heaven and earth. He was a selfless man who spent his life working hard and providing for his family. Just six short months ago, he had embarked on a new journey to settle in on a beautiful property in Southern Tennessee.

His family will be holding a private memorial at their home in Tennessee, and another in California with details to be posted later.
