Robert Payne

Robert Edward Payne, age 48 of Gallatin, TN, passed away October 21, 2021.  Robert was born December 7, 1972 in Gallatin TN.  He is survived by his father, Jim Payne, Sr. (Brenda); mother, Elaine Fite; sons, Duncan Payne and Riley Payne all of Gallatin, TN; brother, Jim Payne, Jr. (Jennifer); nephew, Luke Payne and niece, Katherine Payne of Marietta, GA.

Robert was a graduate of Gallatin High School Class of 1991 where he played Green Wave football.  He attended Western Kentucky State University.  Robert defined a good time when friends and his sons were at his house on weekends.  He had a great sense of humor, was an avid concert and music fan; enjoyed movie trivia and video games.  Robert will always be remembered as a proud and loving father, friend to everyone and loving life to the fullest.

There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering on Sunday, October 24th at Gallatin County Club at 3:00 p.m.  Visitation will be October 24th from 2:00pm - 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN  38105 or Gallatin First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 369, Gallatin, TN  37066.
