Reed Franklin

Reed Eric Franklin age 62 of Gallatin, TN passed away September 11, 2022. He was born November 30, 1959, in Portland, Indiana.

Eric was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend.  Eric found his passion for retail management early in life and stayed in the field for over 40 years.  Many will know Eric for his 18 years where he worked as a store manager at Walmart.  Opening the Hendersonville store (#1376) was one of his greatest accomplishments and he considered all who worked with him part of his family. Recently retired, Eric enjoyed woodworking, watching Westerns and spending time with his family.  He was known for his quick-witted humor, fierce determination, and generous spirit.

Eric is survived by loving wife of 25 years, Wendie; parents, Ralph and Arlene Franklin of New Castle, IN.  His surviving children, Dara, Rustin, Rachel, Samantha, and Ryan; 5 grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.

Eric was passionate, charitable, hardworking, honest and caring. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed.

Memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 14th at 2pm from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Burchett and Brother Doyle Farris officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 14th from 10 am until time of service.
