Rebecca "Becky" Belew

Rebecca “Becky” Belew, age 85, of Gallatin, TN, passed away on Sunday, July 9^th, 2023. Becky was born in Bethpage, TN to parents, William Harold Martin and Lillian Iva Martin nee. Trout. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Lillian, her sisters, Patty Martin and Diann Womack, her brother, Bill Martin, as well as her husband C.F. “Bud” Belew. Becky is survived by her daughter, Amy (Doug) Lyles, her grandson, Justin Lyles, her nieces and nephews, Monte Martin, Jay Martin, Karen West, and Jean (Charles) Ellestad, and her brother in law, Bill Womack.

Becky was said to have been an affectionate and caring woman, a devoted mother and grandmother whose love knew no bounds. She was born and raised in the Middle Tennessee area, with Gallatin being her home. She was a lifetime member of the Lambuth Memorial United Methodist Church. She loved to travel and go on cruises. When she was able, she loved to be outside on the water, particularly the ocean. Becky enjoyed her free time reading romance novels on the beach. Becky was also an avid fan of the preforming arts and appreciated theater. A favorite past time of hers was going to the Tennessee Preforming Arts Center to see musicals. Although she is gone, she is not forgotten.

A visitation will be held at Alexander Funeral Home and Cremation Center on Wednesday, July 12^th, 2023, from 4pm until 7pm. Then on Thursday, July 13^th, 2023, visitation will be held from 10am until 2pm, with our service promptly starting at 2pm. Burial to follow at Crestview Memory Gardens following the service.
