Polly was born September 26, 1936 in Lawrenceburg, TN. She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew B. and Marsha Richardson Ellingson and her first husband, Robert E. Mincy. She is survived by her husband, Anthony R. Cameli; daughter, Lisa M. Hoffman (Chip); son, Asa Mincy Andrew; stepson, Jay J. Cameli (Tracey); sister, Ella G. Johnston (Fleet); grandchildren, William B. Hoffman, Margaret E. Hoffman and Ava Grace Andrew; step grandchildren, Austin J. Cameli and Shelby L. Cameli; nephew, David M. Gilmore (Stephenie).
Polly was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Gallatin, TN and Our Lady of Grace in Avon Park, FL. She was a member of Adelaide Shores Ladies Golf Association and a former member of Bluegrass County Club Women's Golf Association. Polly was an avid golfer, gourmet cook and loved to take care of people.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1:30 p.m. Thursday, August 27th at St. John Vianney Catholic Church with Father Richard Childress as celebrant. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until mass time at the church. Interment will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Madison, TN 37216.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 449 North Water Avenue, Gallatin, TN 37066. Our hearts go out to you as we share in the loss of your wife/mom. Polly was a wonderful friend and neighbor from the time we moved in next door in 1998. We will miss her sunny greetings over our backyards. May she Rest In Peace at God's side.
