Nancy Ann Davis, age 76, of Gallatin, Tennessee passed away on December 10th, 2024. She was born in Hicksville, Long Island, New York, on May 7th, 1948, to the late Walter and Ruth Schlicting. She is also preceded in death by her brother Alan Schlicting, brother-in-law Richard Davis, and her favorite cousin on her husband's side Ronald Wiseman. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years and 96 days Paul Evan Davis. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Jim Davis, and her dearest friends Erin Keogh-Rankin, Geri-Lyn Moynihan, Sherill Galloway, and Marywyn Rawlings. Although she is gone, her memory will forever remain with them.
Nancy was a loving and caring woman. She would always put her friends and family before herself. She was an individual of many interests; like cooking and baking, reading and learning. Reading was a particularly fond past time of hers. She liked to immerse herself in non-fiction books, learning about something new every opportunity she had. A Christian woman, the last few years of her life, she enjoyed reading about the Bible, the history and the stories within. Although she did not attend a church with four walls, her spirituality showed daily through her altruistic nature. She was a giver at heart and believed in helping one another in their time of need. One of Nancy’s proudest accomplishments was her family. She liked to tell people she married “the boy next door.” Nancy would graduate Hicksville Highschool in 1966 and go on to take summer courses at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio in preparation for the fall semester. While boarding with family, she would fall in love with Paul, her next-door neighbor. The two would go on to be married on September 6th, 1969, creating a life filled with love and beautiful memories up until the time of her passing.
