Mr. Richard Baird

Richard Baird, age 68 of Gallatin, TN, passed away April 29, 2021.  Richard was born December 3, 1952 in Louisville, KY.  He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Brenda Baird; daughters, Saundra Baird Hollans (H.G.) and Melissa Baird Duncan; grandchildren, Brittney and Allen Whaley, Ethan, Naomi, Violet and Harrison Hollans.

Richard served in the U S. Airforce and was a veteran of Vietnam where he served as a linguist.  He was a member of First Baptist Church Hendersonville.  Richard retired from R. J. Reynolds after 22 years of service and served with Habitat for Humanity from 2009-2021 in Winston Salem, NC and in Sumner County, TN.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 5th from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Dr. Bruce Chesser officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday, May 4th from 2:00 -7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, May 5th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity of Sumner County, 327 Sumner Hall Drive, Gallatin TN  37066.
