Michael Ross Mullaney, a devoted Navy veteran and an esteemed member of the community, passed away on September 2, 2024, in Gallatin, Tennessee. Born on February 6, 1953, Michael lived a life characterized by his commitment to service and the well-being of those around him.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents Rossiter Charles and Anne Hughes Mullaney and his sister Colleen Fisher. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Sharon Mullaney, son Ross Mullaney (Berenis), and granddaughter Dahlia Mullaney. He is also survived by his sister Maureen McDonald, nephew Kirk McDonald, and his navy friends Charles and Steve.

For most of his life, Michael served as a submarine corpsman in the United States Navy, a role which he exemplified exceptional dedication and professionalism. An accomplished scholar, Michael earned his Master’s degree in Business and Health Administration.

Known for his generous and caring nature, Michael was beloved by friends and family alike. His laid-back demeanor and meticulous approach to life made him a pleasure to be around. He possessed a keen sense of humor and was often the source of laughter in any gathering.

Michael's interests were as diverse as his personality. He had a profound love for sports, particularly hockey, which he embraced as an essential aspect of his life. Beyond his enthusiasm for sports, he enjoyed playing video games, staying informed about politics, and indulging in the culinary arts through his passion for cooking. These hobbies enriched his life and allowed him to connect with others who shared similar interests.

Michael leaves behind a legacy of kindness and laughter that will be cherished by all who knew him. His impact on the lives of those around him will forever be remembered, ensuring that his spirit continues to guide and inspire.
