Marie was born March 22, 1938 in Nashville, TN, daughter of the late Young and Willie Florence Perry Herndon. She is survived by her brother, James Herndon; sister, Helen Kendall, nieces, Roxann Howell (Joseph) and Amanda Herndon; nephews, Jason Herndon (Nichole) and Stevie Kendall (Amanda).
Marie was a member of Hartsville Pike Church of Christ.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 29th from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Doyle Farris officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memory Gardens with Eddie Hall, Joseph Howell, Zack Snow, Jason Herndon, Stevie Kendall and Richard Tuttle serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday, February 28th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 29th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

She was a dear friend to our family, especially our young son Sam. We will certainly miss you Miss Marie but we know we will see you in Heaven. Our condolences to all of her sweet family.
