Margaret Blankenship

Margaret Ruth Blankenship, age 82, of Gallatin passed away on Thursday January 19th, 2023. Margaret was born on May 27th, 1940 in Nashville, Tennessee to parents, James Clyde Huffman and Jewel Cravens Huffman.

Our “Mimi” as she loved to be called is survived and missed terribly by her children, Christy (Bill) Patch and Susan (Jackie) Stevens; her grandchildren Bethany (James) Ellis, Megan (Tyler) Wix, Lauren (Dave) Carter, Sarah Stevens, and Nathan Stevens; and her great-grandchildren, Hawkeye Ellis and Winchester Ellis. She was preceded in death by her siblings James Huffman, Lena Russell, and JoAnne Cain; and a grandson, Jesse Stevens.

Margaret attended Central High School in Nashville, Tennessee. Her neat and organized nature served her well in her chosen area of book-keeping. She retired from Sumner County Resource Authority after 30 years of service. In her spare time, Mimi delighted in crocheting, cooking, and reading; but what she loved most of all was spoiling her family.

Alexander Funeral Home will oversee arrangements. A private graveside service will be held, with only immediate family members to attend.
