Lola Johns

Lola Mae Johns age 95 passed away on December 8, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Franklin Johnson and Dora Belle Davis, husband of 61 years, James Archie Johns. She is survived by her children James Edward Johns (Marjorie), Annie Mae West (Ray) and Jerry Lee Johns (Carol), grandchildren, Karen Christine White and Shanta Antoinette Timbs, great-grandchildren, Levi, Peyton, Amelia and Wyatt.

Lola was a faithful, devoted and loving wife of 61+ years to James Archie Johns, she was also a loving, caring, mother and grandmother. Employed for 32 years by Gary Manufacturing Company in Gallatin, TN and enjoyed raising vegetable gardens and yardwork with her husband. She also enjoyed sewing, making quilts, cooking and baking for her family. Although she had a limited education she was very gifted with common knowledge of how to do everyday life. Being a born again Christian we know she is now in Heaven with Jesus.  Over the years she attended New Hope Baptist Church in Westmoreland, Cornerstone and College Heights in Gallatin and Hendersonville First Baptist Church.

Visitation will be on Sunday December 12, 2021 from 1-6 and on Monday December 13, 2021 from 10-11 at Alexander Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Monday December 13, 2021 at 11 AM at Alexander Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sumner Memorial Gardens.
