LEONARDA DANZ

Leonarda Danz, age 98 of Gallatin, TN, passed away April 8, 2024.  Mrs. Danz was born February 23, 1926 in Italy.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaetano and Rafaella Grasso Angelucci; husbands, Chester Opalek and Richard Danz and grandson, David Opalek.   She is survived by sons, Robert Opalek (Karen) and Jim Opalek (Donna); grandchildren, Jennifer Geddes (Sean), Susan Opalek, Jessica Vaughn and Brian Opalek (Whitney); great grandchildren, Austin Taylor, Robert Geddes, Madeline Geddes, Elijah Vaughn, Ainsley Vaughn and Maddon Opalek.

Mrs. Danz was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She loved music, dance and growing roses.  She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and served as a volunteer at Sumner Regional Medical Center.  

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 15^th at St. John Vianney Catholic Church with Father Richard Childress as celebrant.  Entombment will follow in Sumner Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.  Rosary will be Sunday, April 14^th at 3:00 p.m. with a visitation to follow from 3:30 -6:00 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
