Jennifer Lynn Shipley

Jennifer Lynn Shipley, age 48, of Gallatin, TN passed away unexpectedly in her home on April 16^th, 2024. She was born on December 12^th, 1975, in Chicago, IL to the late Richard Hunt and Lois Smith. She is also preceded in death by nephew Steven Vaughn, close family friend Diane Huff, and her best friend Jen Lamb. Jen is survived by her ex-husband and friend for life Tommy Shipley, daughter Haley (Justin) Hulcy, son Trevor (Cristian) Shipley, grandchildren Gavin and Gracelyn, and her bonus children Zackary and Katie. She is also survived by her brother Richard Lee Hunt, stepmother Joanne Hunt, stepsisters Tammy, Krystal, and Lisa, her half-brother David, and niece Wendy Parton. Jen also leaves behind her fur babies Cassanova and Dusty, as well as many other friends and relatives whom she loved dearly.

Jen was a woman of remarkable character - kind and welcoming to all she encountered. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her own family as she devoted herself to caring for others and ensuring everyone around her felt comforted and at ease. Jen's wit was unmatched, her sarcasm delightful and her humor infectious. She had a gift for turning any moment into a lighthearted one, leaving those in her presence with smiles on their faces and warmth in their hearts.

A natural conversationalist, Jen had an innate ability to make anyone feel heard and seen. Her genuine interest in others made her a beloved friend to many. She found joy in music of all genres. From smooth rap beats to melodic country tunes, she was able to groove with the best of them. Above all else, Jen treasured spending time with her family. Moments shared with her family, especially her grandchildren, are ones that will be cherished forever.

As family and friends come together to honor Jennifer's memory, a Memorial Gathering will take place on April 20, 2024, starting at 12:00 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM at Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 584 Nashville Pike in Gallatin, TN.
