Jeffery Rizzo

Jeffrey Ronald Rizzo age 54, transitioned peacefully on Sunday, October 24, 2021. He is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Berringer and his dog Bo. He is survived by his mother, Sandra Berringer and loving wife of 19 years, JoAnn Rizzo.

Children; Josef (Caitlin Starr) Ferreira, Nickolaus (Mikayla) Morris, Gabriel (Brenna) Garcia, Haley Morris and Nicholas Garcia.

Sister; Rhonda (Brad) Damschroder, niece Stacy Damschroder and nephew, Dylan Damschroder.

Grandchildren; Taytumn Morris, Citlali Chacon-Martinez, Sophia Morris, Osaiah Chacon-Martinez, Roman Morris, Jax Morris and Aldino Garcia.

Dogs; Puka and Lola.

Jeffrey was a wonderful son. He held his mother in high regard and would always go the distance to be sure she was loved and cared for.  The loving bond he shared with his mother and late father will never be replaced or forgotten.

Jeffrey was a man of respect and integrity when it came to being a husband to JoAnn. He was her protector, provider and companion. Committed to their union, Jeffrey and JoAnn showed up every day to create a stable happy life that was full of love.

As a dedicated father, Jeffrey would provide love, support and guidance to every one of his children. He would instill wisdom and values in each of them while stepping back as a good coach does while they play the game of life. Every child knew he would be there for every win and for every loss because family was what was most important to him. Jeffrey cherished all 7 of his grandchildren. It brought him much joy to find new ways to scare them silly and to see them laugh. He loved his dogs as if they were his kids and depending upon the day, he loved them more than his own.

Jeffrey was a faithful Dodger fan who lived for the game of baseball. His passion for cooking came later in life which led him towards his love for Italian food. Along with cooking, Jeff discovered his green thumb and built a garden just off the kitchen that served as inspiration for his next dish. Jeffrey loved to travel, always on the hunt for the next great beer or whiskey to add to his collection.

Jeffrey’s life was full of love and happiness that we will continue to carry on through his memory.

Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 10-11 am with a Celebration of Life service to follow at Alexander Funeral Home.
