Alyce Sims July 9, 2018 at 12:42 amTommy, Billy and family, I am so very sorry for the loss of your dad (and my Uncle James). I know you are going to miss him dearly. He lived a great long life and was always as nice as he could be to me and my family. I’m sure you will always have fond memories locked away in your heart, just as you do your sweet mom. Prayers for peace and comfort as you lay him to rest. I hope to see you soon. Hugs and Love, cousin Alyce

I know my husband Dr. Charles Cowden, would be there if he were living. He thought so much of Mr. Kennedy and never missed an opportunity at church to talk with him.
Prayers for comfort for the family.
I'm sorry for your loss Billy and Tommy. Uncle James was kind hearted and soft spoken. Immensely talented in restoring furniture. Sending love your way, Cousin Janice Gresham-Huffman.
Lana Kay Nelson July 17, 2018 at 2:17 pmMy sincere prayers and condolences to the whole family and all those who loved him. I didn’t know James well, but the little I did he was a kind, fun-loving, funny and great person – someone who you could cherish being around. I only met James once when he came to New Orleans with Joseph ’em to see his sister, Mildred (she also passed of Alzheimers on January 25, 2018) and Warren Adams (June 4, 2018). He did seem a little quite though, maybe because he wasn’t able to get a word in. I know my Mother would have loved too been able to meet him and get some of her antique furniture restored. I know he will be truly missed. May God carry his family through this rough time. Remember he is in a better place, gone – but not forgotten.
