James Hodge

James Thomas Hodge Jr., age 66 of Gallatin, TN passed away July 1, 2021.

James was born in Lancaster, South Carolina on September 9th, 1954. He served his country in the Air Force for 8 years. He was a member of the Nazarene Church, where he was involved in bible quizzing for over 50 years. He loved the Green Bay Packers, Notre Dame football, and Tar Heels basketball. James was also an avid chess player throughout his adult life.

James is preceded in death by his father James Thomas Hodge Sr., mother Rachel (Collins) Anderson and sister Deborah (Hodge) Holley. He survived by wife of 31 years Pamela (Crabtree) Hodge, sons James Nicholas Hodge and Trenton Lee Hodge, daughters Rebecca (Hodge) Derchy and Sarah (Hodge) Moore, brothers Johnnie Hodge, James Blakemore, and Scott Holland, sisters Brenda (Hodge) McClain, and Glenda Hodge, and grandchildren Gabriella Derchy and Benjamin Derchy. Active pallbearers are Cole Hodge, Trent Hodge, Brady Meeks, Kenny Keene, Burley Harris, and Billy Meikrantz. Honorary pallbearers are Kiana Kemp and Kirby Hamblen.

The funeral service will be held on Friday July 9, 2021, at 12:00 pm from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Billy Meikrantz officiating. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held Friday July 9, 2021, from 10:00 am until time of service.
