James Abbey

Mr. James Payton Abbey, age 74 of Gallatin, TN passed away April 22, 2021. He was born July 25, 1946 in Carmi, IL to Ruby Mae (Dunkin) and the late James Martin Abbey.

James is survived by loving wife of 1 year and 6 months, Kathy Abbey; daughter, Michelle (John) Prescott; grandchildren, Nathan (Stephanie), Nicholas (Stacey), Kassandra, Alexander and Cayden; 4 great-grandchildren; mother, Ruby (Dunkin) Abbey; brothers, David (Alice) Abbey and Mark (Ratsamee) Abbey and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

James was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was an avid reader, he enjoyed fishing and loved playing poker with his grandchildren.
