Frances Magdalene Dean, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 13, 2025, in Gallatin, Tennessee. Born September 21, 1940, in Trousdale County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Quentin Floyd Sneed and Laura Ghaston Dyer Sneed.
Frances dedicated her career to General Electric, where she exemplified a work ethic that mirrored her goal-oriented personality. Her commitment extended beyond her professional life, as she held her family at the core of her being, loving them dearly and nurturing their bonds with great care.
In her healthier years, Frances was an active member of Piper's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where she connected with friends and neighbors, finding strength and solace in her faith. She also found joy in the beauty of the outdoors, where she lovingly tended to her flowers, creating serene spaces that mirrored her nurturing spirit.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Chester "Wayne" Dean and her sister Betty Jo Mars.
Frances is survived by her son, Ernie (Rosemary) Dean; her sisters, Sue Tillman and Joyce Keen; her grandson, Michael (Jennifer) Brummett; her great-grandchildren, Makayla, Austin, and Emily; and her great great granddaughter Olivia Binkley. These family members will carry forward her legacy of love, hard work, and dedication.
A graveside service to honor Frances will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Sumner Memorial Gardens in Gallatin, Tennessee. This gathering will provide an opportunity for family and friends to come together, share memories, and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who touched the hearts of many.
Frances will be remembered not only for her steadfast devotion to her family but also for the warmth she brought into the lives of those she encountered. Her spirit will undoubtedly live on in the many lives she influenced and cherished.
