Dr. Timothy "Tim" Rayborn

Dr. Timothy “Tim” Dwain Rayborn, age 72 of Gallatin, TN, passed away October 31, 2021.  Tim was born June 21, 1949, in Monticello, MS.  He is preceded in death by his parents, William Sedley and Edith Alica Rayborn; sister, Suzonne Rutland and father-in-law, Henry Roberson.  He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Jean Morris Rayborn; son, Ryan Dwain Rayborn (Jessica); daughter, Rikki Crutcher (Thomas); grandchildren, Camille Rayborn, Cambridge Rayborn and Chandler Crutcher; “our son”, Brett Rutland; brother, Dickie Rayborn (Gloria); sisters, Tanya Rutland (Col. Ronald Rutland) and Kay G. Rayborn; brother-in-law, Donald Rutland; mother-in-law, Ted Roberson; several nieces and nephews.

Tim received his bachelor’s degree in bible from William Carey University in Mississippi and his doctoral degree in theology from New Orleans Theological Seminary in Louisianna.  His career spanned 52 years in the ministry. The last two churches he served were First Baptist Goodlettsville and then Believers Baptist Fellowship in Hendersonville where he retired from active ministry.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center at a later date.
