Donald Lee Woodard Sr., age 84 of Gallatin, passed away June 29, 2022. He was born in Smith County Tennessee on February 14, 1938 to the late Mance Freeman and Lillian Woodard. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Linda York; son Billy (Tara) Woodard; daughter-in-law, Corey Woodard; brother, Jimmy Woodard; sisters, Dorothy Woodard and Mickey Pryor; mother of his children, Roberta Woodard. Survived by his children, Donald (Maxine) Woodard, Jr., Donna (Mark) Suddarth, Bobby (Holly Swafford) Woodard, and Deborah (Martin) Lopez; seventeen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; siblings, Mance Freeman Woodard, Ossie Mae Pryor, and Jerry Conyer. Donald had many businesses in his life, he owned car lots, service stations, and bars. He also loved racing cars, and had many horses, many who won awards at state shows. Visitation will be at Alexander Funeral Home on Tuesday July 5 from 4-8 pm, and on Wednesday July 6 from 10am until service at 2pm. Interment will follow at Sumner Memorial Gardens.
