Cheryl Russell Alexander age 57, passed away on February 1, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents, Glenn W “Pete” and Lou Ella Smith Russell, brother-in-law, Sammy Taylor. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Jeff Alexander, son Wyatt Tabor, brother, Ronnie (Betty) Russell and her sister, Suzy Russell Taylor.
Cheryl loved horseback riding and was a member of the AQHA. She was very involved as a parent at Gallatin High School where she would organize fundraisers as well as other activities. She was a member of the Sumner County Sheriff’s Citizens Police Academy, she loved camping and swimming. She was also a longtime member of the McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She was very close with family and friends and loved cookouts and fellowship at church.
Visitation will be held on Friday February 4, 2022, from 4-8 at Alexander Funeral Home and Cremation Center and on Saturday from 12-1 PM. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1PM on Saturday February 5, 2022, at Alexander Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Bro Kenneth Massey and Jeremy Sisk officiating. Interment will follow at the Macon County Memorial Gardens.
