Cecil Franklin

Cecil Franklin, age 65 of Gallatin, TN, passed away July 14, 2022.  Cecil was born February 11, 1957 in Nashville, TN.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Odell and Frances Gourley Franklin.  He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Donna Frazier Franklin; daughter, Shaundra Franklin Cartwright (Joey); son, Joseph “Joey” Franklin (Kim); grandchildren, Jasmyn Franklin, Gwen Franklin and Nina Cartwright.

Cecil retired as Operations Manager after 27 years of service with W. R. Durham Lumber in Hendersonville, TN.  He loved the outdoors including fishing, hunting and using his metal detector.  He was a lifetime member of the NRA.  Cecil was a NASCAR fan and an avid Dallas Cowboys Football fan.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 19th from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Dillan Farmer officiating.  Interment will follow in Frazier Cemetery in Hendersonville, TN with Joseph “Joey” Franklin, Shaundra Franklin Cartwright, Joey Cartwright, Shane Farmer, Gary Farmer, and Derrick Hutcherson serving as pallbearers.  Visitation will be Monday, July 18th from 3:00-7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, July 19th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
