Cathryn Jeanne McMahan

Cathryn Jeanne McMahan, age 73 of Gallatin, TN, passed away August 12, 2024. Cathryn was born July 4, 1951, in South Pittsburg, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Wright and Cathryn Murphy McMahan; sisters, Sandra A. Ricklefs and Mary Ruth Sanders. She is survived by her brother, Robert “Bob” McMahan (Ann); sister, Betty Leath (Homer); nephew, Scott Strong; nieces, Kellie Elizabeth McMahan and Alice M. Cotter (Doug) and great niece, Caitlin Suddarth (Jon).

After college, Cathryn took a job with Chevron Chemical in their operations division in Wyoming where she lived for 40+ years. After leaving Chevron Chemical, she started her own business in home repairs. Another move in Wyoming took her to Casper where she worked for Home Depot in their Home Solutions division.

Cathryn loved the out of doors and enjoyed hiking the Wyoming mountains. In December 2023, she returned to Tennessee, and found a love for walking all the green ways, trails and parks, always with her constant fur baby companion, Eli.

Cathryn will be missed by all her family and newfound friends in Gallatin and Hendersonville. There will be a private family celebration service at a later date.
