Cary was born on October 24, 1950, in San Francisco, California. Shortly after his birth, his family relocated to South Florida, where he spent his formative years.
From an early age, Cary developed a passion for baseball, actively participating in the sport through college and with various local organizations. He graduated from Northeast High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 1968, and was a man of strong Christian faith.
Following high school and his time at Broward Community College, Cary dedicated himself to public service as a Police Officer in Pompano Beach, beginning in 1971. During his impressive career, he became an integral part of the force, leading the SWAT team and serving as a dedicated Homicide Investigator. His exemplary professionalism, courage, and unwavering commitment to justice left a lasting impact on the community he served.
In his personal life, Cary found true and complete happiness when he met Barbara, who became his beloved wife. After a whirlwind courtship of just six weeks, they were engaged and married on January 25, 1975, in Boca Raton, Florida. Theirs was a love story that lasted a lifetime.
Cary adored his two daughters, Kylene and Kelly. His love for Barbara, Kylene, and Kelly knew no bounds. He treasured the moments he spent with his family, always finding joy in their shared experiences.
Cary had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, often enjoying hunting and gardening, activities that brought him peace and contentment, which he shared with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
One of Cary's greatest joys was cooking with Barbara, and he took great pride in making her a fresh cup of coffee every morning. It was in these special moments that his love for her shone brightest.
On most days, you would find Cary loving life in cowboy boots, a matching cowboy hat, and a belt buckle that reflected his love for the cowboy lifestyle.
Cary and Barbara loved attending live rodeos together in many states. He always emphasized the importance of the American flag and deeply respected the opening prayer that began each event.
Cary is survived by his wife, Barbara, with whom he shared 50 wonderful years; his two daughters: Kylene Dean, her husband David, and their children Amelia (15), Gavin (13), and Sebastian (10); and Kelly Marchione, her husband Anthony, and their children Maelyn (5) and Dominic (4).
