Mrs Judy Slate, this is truly heartbreaking to hear. So saddened by your loss. Sending prayers for strength and courage from my family to yours.
Respectfully Collin and Sheila McKnight
This is devastating to read, yet also helpful. I want to personally thank my grandparents, Judy and Allen Slate for handling the arrangements. I also want to thank everyone who has been there and gave their condolences to my family and me. She was so beautiful inside out, and loved me and my sister with all her heart. That very same love is immortal, it will never go away. Thank you, everyone. We all miss you, Mama. Each day without you is getting harder and harder. I will see you again someday.

Dear Carrie,
It’s been so many years since we’ve seen each other but in many ways, it doesn’t seem like any time at all. You were my very first friend when I moved to Gallatin in 1983. We shared everything, clothes, makeup, music, (albums) and secrets. Time has a way of changing things and people move on with their lives and before you know it so much time has passed and circumstances change. Carrie, I have always loved you and never have forgotten the closeness we shared at a time when we were still so young and innocent and full of expectation. I’ll continue to hold those memories and you in my heart.
Rest peacefully Carrie Ann.

Richard A Gipson February 26, 2020 at 2:11 amJudy, you & Allen & the family are in my prayers. Carrie was a special lady, just like my oldest sister who passed at 46 she was not made for this life. She is in that place where there will be no more sorrow or pain because she is with Jesus. Much love- Pastor Rich
Shirley McGregor February 29, 2020 at 7:40 amBaby, Only you know! We were one as two can be. My heart was buried with you yesterday. I remained true to you since the day I met you 13 years ago. Maybe now you see that and believe that. I will continue you to look after your family, some from afar but especially Lensie who loves and accepts me. Until we are reunited I will think of you every day, miss you everyday and celebrate your life. Say hi to Dad and Rhonda!
Eternally yours
Shirl
