Carol Dean Lambert, age 76, of Gallatin, TN passed away on May 11th, 2023. Carol was born on July 6, 1946 in Orlando, Florida and is preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Jane Sellers. Carol is survived by her husband, Walter “Skip” Douglas Lambert, Jr., Her brother Wayne Sellers, her daughter Jennifer (Marcus) Farmer, stepdaughter Juli (Sam) McGill, her granddaughter, Chloe and her grandchildren by marriage, Micah Wall, Russ (Michelle) McGill and Samuel (Brittany) McGill.
Carol took her last breaths in the company of her family on May 11th, 2023. Carol grew up in Florida and married her soulmate, Skip in Ponte Vedra Beach Florida on May 25th, 1991. At the time of her death they were married for 32 years.
Carol was a fun-loving and adventurous person who loved to show off her creativity through fashion, makeup and home decor. During her lifetime she owned a Merle Norman Cosmetics franchise and was a flight attendant for United Airlines for 16 years. She flew around the world and entertained everyone she knew with her travel stories. After retirement, she worked for Include Me Advocacy Group, founded by her daughter and son-in-law in 2018. She was instrumental in designing the company’s clothing line and counseled incoming clients to educate them about the options they had available.
Carol was known as “Tootsie” to Chloe and throughout Chloe’s life she functioned as her best buddy. Tootsie cheered Chloe on during figure skating competitions and supported her love of sparkly accessories, shoes and modeled for Chloe how to develop her personal style and emphasize her best features.
Carol will be dearly missed. Her family, friends and co-workers describe her as quick-witted and bold, with a conversational style that is unmatched and empathetic. Carol believed that everyone had the right to make choices and decisions about their lives and encouraged everyone she knew to choose happiness.
Although Carol is gone, she is most certainly not forgotten. Carol’s family and friends will hold a graveside scattering ceremony at Electra Cemetery in Ocala, Florida on July 17th, 2023. A memorial visitation will be held at Alexander Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Gallatin, TN on Friday August 4th, 2023 from 9am until 11am, with a memorial service to follow. Inurnment to be held at Sumner Memory Gardens at a later date. Online condolences may be expressed at alexandergallatin.com.
