Brenden Kellen Hows, age 22, was born on December 16, 2000 in Kingsport, TN and passed away unexpectedly on January 29, 2023 at his home in Gallatin, TN. He was preceded in death by his Papaw, Jerry Hite. Brenden is survived by his parents, Andrew and Christie Hows; brother, Henley Hows; Nana, Linda Sue Hite; Grandma, Gracie Hows; Aunts and Uncles, Stephen and Misty Hite, Anthony and Michelle Hite, and Clayton Hows; cousins, Sydney Adams and Beckett Hite, and many other family members and friends.
Brenden was a 2019 graduate of Timber Creek High School in Fort Worth, Texas. He discovered a love of science while pursuing a degree in Natural Sciences from Volunteer State in Gallatin. He had plans to continue his education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville after completing his degree. He was a member of Ebenezer UMC in Knoxville, Tennessee where he was active in Cub and Boy Scouts -Troop 141 from 2008-2014. Brenden was an avid gamer, loved all things European and had the privilege of traveling to Europe on two occasions.
A memorial service will be held at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 1001 Ebenezer Road Knoxville, TN 37923 on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 12:00pm with Rev. Tim Paul and Rev. Ann Robins officiating. Receiving of friends will be held immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to ask for donations to be made to the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Youth Group Fund.
