Bobby Lewis Martin, 69, of Bethpage, Tennessee, departed this life on Thursday, January 16, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee. Born April 8, 1955, in Gallatin, he was the son of the late Fred Wilson Martin and Elizabeth Jenelle Maxey Martin. He dedicated 30 years of his professional career to Sunbeam Bakery, which later became known as Lewis Bakery, working as a devoted route salesman. Upon his retirement, he continued to show his dedication and love for family by joining his son, Skip, in work as his "PR man" of Premier Woodworks. Often striking up instant relationships with every client they were blessed to work with.
Bobby was a man of many interests and talents. He took great pride in maintaining a perfect lawn, reflecting his meticulous nature and dedication to his home. He also enjoyed golfing, spending time on the water aboard his pontoon boat, and had a passion for old cars and trucks, which he often reminisced about with joy.
Graduating from Gallatin High School in 1974, Bobby was part of the inaugural class of the new high school, marking the beginning of a journey filled with hard work and selflessness. Those who knew him would describe him as selfless and generous; he was known for always putting others before himself, ready to lend a helping hand whenever anyone was in need.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law David Collins.
Bobby is survived by his loving family, including his sons Mark (Katherine) Hunter and Skip (Tiffany) Martin; girlfriend Mary Duffer; grandchildren Maddox Martin, Hailey Hunter, Hattie Hunter, and Waylon Hunter; and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his siblings: Elizabeth Ann (Ron) Mimms, Fred Wilson Martin, Carolyn Sue Collins, Donny Lee (Jane) Martin, and Joey Edward (Susie) Martin.
