Billy Norman Gammons, age 86 of Gallatin, TN, passed away January 6, 2023.  Mr. Gammons was born December 10, 1936, in Lafayette, TN.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Laura Gammons; parents, Willie C. and Essie Mae Gammons; sister, Lucy (Bob) Smith and brother, Gordon C. Gammons.  He is survived by his daughters, Wanda Hoover (Roger Steging) of Little Rock, AR; Sherry Anderson (Steve) and Susan Freeze (Jimmy) both of Gallatin, TN; Linda Mayberry, “best buddy” of Nashville, TN; grandsons, Blake Hendrickson (April), Tate Anderson, Grant Anderson and Josh Steging; great grandchildren, Sawyer Anderson, Gracie Anderson and Brycen Hayes; sister-in-law, Janice Gammons; and nieces and nephews.

Mr. Gammons was a member and Deacon at McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church.  He was a Past Master and 50-year member of King Solomon Lodge #6 as well as a Scottish Rite Mason.  Mr. Gammons was in the trucking industry and a dedicated Teamster’s member.

Visitation will be Monday, January 9th from 1:00-7:00 p.m. with a Masonic funeral at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 10th  with a visitation from 9am until the time of the service at the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Jeremy Sisk officiating.  Burial will follow in Drury Cemetery in Lafayette, TN
