Barbara Sargeni

Barbara I. “Gerrity” Sargeni, age 82, of Nashville, Tennessee and formerly of West Grove, Pennsylvania and Newark, Delaware, died Sunday, April 11, 2021, at Tri Star Southern Hills Medical Center after chronic health issues. Born July 7, 1938, in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Mary Gerrity.

Barbara was a graduate of Bay Ridge High in Brooklyn, New York. She was employed by Esso Export Corporation. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, reading, music and caring for her children and grandchildren.

Surviving is husband, Valdo A. Sargeni; children, Lee W. and Susan A. “Sargeni” Russo of Nashville, Tennessee, Karen E. Sargeni of Newark, Delaware, and Brian J. and Martha J. Sargeni of Middletown, Delaware; grandchildren Michael S. Russo, Katherine E. Austin, Audrey P. Russo-Schoonmaker, Vincent J. Sargeni, Maria C. Sargeni and Natalie E. McDowell; and great-grandchildren, Stephen J. and Christian M. Austin. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary G. Lambert and brother-in-law, Charles Lambert.
