Barbara Leslie Andrews

Barbara Leslie Andrews, age 70, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away on September 15^th, 2023, at Sumner Regional Medical Center. Barbara was born in Winhold Park a section of London, England, on May 19^th, 1953, to parents, Jim, and Mickie Savage. She is preceded in death by her father Jim Savage, her sister Sandy Savage, and her son Joey. Barbara is survived by her mother Mickie Savage, and her husband Brian Stimson.

Barbara was said to have been an affectionate and caring woman. A devoted daughter, mother, wife, and friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. A lifelong member of the Baptist faith. She was a member of the Long Hollow Baptist Church. Being raised as a Christian gave her the strength, perseverance, and determination to face all of life’s battles.

As a young child Barbara had the wonderful opportunity to see the world. Having her father in the Air Force was tough, but it allowed her to experience many of the world’s great offerings. Barbara went on to have an excellent academic career, graduating from high school in California. Achieving her associate degree in accounting, and later finishing her bachelors. She worked as a secretary for Ingersoll Rand, a machinery company, as their secretary for almost 20 years.

While in Norway, in 1967, she met the love of her life, Brian Stimson. The two would become friends but became partners in crime after reconnecting in 2003. Barbara and Brian went on to move to Gallatin, TN together in 2017, where they would remain together before Barbara’s passing.

Barbara Leslie Andrews may no longer be with us, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her. May her soul find eternal peace, and her memory forever bring comfort, warmth, and inspiration to us all. Although she is gone, she is not forgotten.
