Departed on March 2, 2021 and resided in Gallatin, TN
Celebration of Life: Christ Presbyterian Church Saturday March 13, 2021 1:00pmAnna Wilson, age 39 of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on March 2, 2021 after a short but courageous battle against cancer.
She was born December 28, 1981, in Clearlake, Michigan, the adopted daughter of Linda Steenbergen, niece of Lillian, Ada, Alfred, Tami and Janet.
She is survived by her siblings Michelle Leigh, Brittany, Larry, Michaela and Bonnie as well as a loving host of several nieces and nephews.
Anna graduated from Barren County High School in Glasgow, Kentucky. Over the years, she worked in a library, at a rehab center, and at a bakery. She was very good at helping others, especially the sick, elderly, children and animals. This made Anna happiest.
An active member of the disability community, she resided at one of Our Place Nashville's Friendship Houses. Anna was loved by many for her kind heart and fun-loving spirit. Her bright smile and genuine heart will be truly missed.
Anna loved purple. Actually, she REALLY loved the color purple. She loved dancing and singing. She loved Frozen and Minions. She loved spending time doing arts and crafts, putting together puzzles with a kazillion pieces, and watching movies. Anna liked being in the middle of the action but didn't want to be the center of attention. She was a keen observer, had a mind like a steel trap, and mostly only spoke when she had something to say - although on occasion she could best a speed talker. She was terrific at thinking outside of the box and solving problems. She had the memory of an elephant, an engineer's brain, was a good baker and made a mean smoothie. When she laughed, she'd end up crying if she got to laughing hard. Anna loved pretty things, appreciated kindnesses, enjoyed traveling and taught by example. She loved helping others and learning new things. She was always punctual and took a lot of pride in all that she did. Above all Anna left a huge imprint on so many hearts in this world, she lead by example. Everyone remembers Anna, she was a true beacon of light that will live on.
Anna was a faithful and beloved member of Christ Presbyterian Church where she blessed many by using her gifts and talents. Earlier, she worshiped at Dickerson Chapel in Lebanon, where she so loved singing in the choir and listening to Pastor Jerome Stewart's sermons, they were close friends.
A celebration of her life will be on March 13th at 1 pm at Christ Presbyterian Church, 2323 Old Hickory Boulevard, Nashville.
