Betty Colquitt

Betty J. Colquitt, age 74 of Gallatin, TN, passed away December 2, 2022.  She was born April 29, 1948, in Sewanee, TN.  She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, William “Bill” Colquitt and parents, Gilliam and Annie Haney Byrd.  Also, she was preceded in death by her first husband Herman Miller.  Betty is survived by her daughters, Kim Colquitt Griffin (James) and Jill Colquitt Fisher (Brad); grandsons, Wil Griffin and Henry Fisher; sisters, Kaye Smoyak (Jack) and Barbara Pack (Tim); sister-in-law, Faye Colquitt Dwyer, many nieces and nephews.

Betty was a recruiter for the engineering industry and an elementary school teacher.  She loved teaching at Benny Bills Elementary School.  Betty was a very social person who loved people and especially her family.  She had a deep faith and was a very spiritual person.

Funeral Service will be private for the family.

In memory of their mom, the girls request that you go out and eat with a friend and order a baked potato and salad to celebrate Betty.
